The Faculty of Biotechnology (FBT) was founded on 22/10/2008. Since its establishment, the faculty has continuously developed in quality with a team of well-trained academic personnel experienced in scientific research. Lotus Bach Diep (Lotus from West Lake) is a precious variety, but now gradually degenerates. Currently, the lotus growing area in West Lake is increasingly narrowed. The question for the reaseach group is how to have a reliable source of lotus seeds? Panama wilt is a common disease of banana plants, caused by a fungal disease called Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense (Foc). The disease caused by Fusarium on banana plants is described as a "classical" vascular wilt disease. The pathogen enters the vascular tissue (xylem) through the roots causing discoloration and wilting. As the disease progresses, many leaves turn yellow, then the plant dies.
